MapShots Inc. announces the availability of its Harvest Entry app to record harvest data for both on-farm and commercial loads. The new app extends the functionality of the MapShots AgStudio FARM Commodity Inventory module by giving producers an offline, mobile way to record harvest information.

By downloading the free app to an iOS or Android device, producers can record information out in the field or at the grain elevator without using an Internet connection. Then, upon returning to the office, users can synchronize the Harvest Entry app to the AgStudio database to merge all information.

"As the semi leaves the field and delivers the load to an on-farm or commercial elevator, producers can use the Harvest Entry app to enter the load information including: facility, vehicle, timestamp, weights and adjustment information (moisture\turnout) ," said Clint Ingram, Field Product Manager at MapShots. "This is a value-added application MapShots provides to our customers, free of charge."

To download the app to an iOS device, visit the Apple Store or go to http://www.mapshots.com and click on Solutions, then Commodity Inventory/Harvest Entry.  To download the app to an Android device, visit the same page of the MapShots website to get full installation instructions -- or click on this link.

The MapShots AgStudio suite of products is a total recordkeeping solution, built to handle automated precision farming data and conventional, manually entered data all within the same data model. The Harvest Entry app adds even more flexibility to the AgStudio FARM platform by allowing users to track as much or as little information as makes sense for their operation.
