Maestro
Tech Specs: Horsch has expanded the offering of the Maestro to include a 40 foot toolbar version. The planter has different row spacing options on a 40 foot bar to include 16 rows at 30 inch spacings or 24 rows at 20 inch spacings and a 15 inch splitter option. Key features include electric drive motors, hydraulic down pressure and a weight transfer system to reduce potential pinch rows. The 40 foot toolbar version is available with 80 bushels of seed and 780 gallons of liquid fertilizer capacity. A unique option is the ability to switch out the liquid fertilizer tank for an additional seed tank when planting soybeans, resulting in a capacity of 160 bushels.

WOW Factor: The first OEM manufacturer in North America to offer as standard equipment the electric meter drives for row-crop planters. With the electric meter drive, the control system has the ability to shut off each individual row for overlap control. Achieve pinpoint population accuracy, seed spacing accuracy, variable-rate planting and other functions that offer an advantage over typical chain-drive and hydraulic drive systems.
4900 Multi-Hybrid Planter
Tech Specs: Kinze’s 4900 multi-hybrid planter with electric drive features dual electric vacuum meters which offer higher than 99% accuracy with superior loading, singulation and seed drop. The planter also includes hydraulic weight transfer to reduce potential soil compaction.

WOW Factor: After 3 years of independent testing, Beck’s Hybrids shows yield improvement in fields using multi-hybrid planting with an average yield increase of nearly 8 bushels per acre. Previous field trials in 2012 and 2013 revealed a yield advantage that averaged 9.5 bushels per acre. While some crop practices can have good results one year and negative results another year, multi-hybrid has annually shown consistent yield increases across variable field environments.
