Tech Specs: The Smart7 family combines a NovAtel OEM7 receiver and precision antenna together with optional NovAtel Span technology, WiFi and Ethernet IP connectivity in a waterproof enclosure. The Span GNSS+INS technology provides altitude information that can simplify the development of vehicle guidance systems and bridge short GNSS outages. WiFi and an integrated Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol (NTRIP) client allows connectivity to smartphones and cellular gateways and an Ethernet option also supports connectivity to wired Internet Protocol (IP) networks and devices.

The Smart7 family receives correction signals provided globally by TerraStar including TerraStar-C Pro, which provides 3 cm (1.2 inch) accuracy with convergence times of less than 18 minutes in most regions. The platform also includes a new advanced ISOBUS-compatible CAN interface that supports NovAtel logs, commands and firmware upgrades. The Relay7 RTK radio accessory attaches to the Smart7 providing a single unit for integration and installation. Two models of Relay7 are available supporting the 900 and 400 MHz frequency bands.

Smart7’s accuracy is scalable from sub-meter (WAAS/EGNOS) to centimeter-level accuracy using NovAtel’s TerraStar-C PRO correction service or RTK corrections. An optional on-board inertial measurement unit (IMU) provides heading and terrain compensation and can bridge short GNSS outages.
