Hawkins Ag – Planter ‘NForcer
Tech Specs: The Hawkins Ag Planter ‘NForcer allows for accurate position and precise placement of key starter and pop-up fertilizer. Pneumatic down pressure and a 14-inch beveled blade allow operation in all field conditions including no-till and the position adjustments to fit strip-till needs. Horizontal adjustments of up to 8 inches allow a setting to fit various field terrains and farming practices. Left and right row unit mounting options compensate for multiple planter configurations in all primary models.
Rearward mounting of the fertilizer disc allows proper planter operation and residue flow, resulting in precise fertilizer placement out of the residue path.
Equipment Technologies – 2020 Apache Sprayer
Tech Specs: The improvements offered in 2020 Apache Sprayers range from user-friendly design elements to advanced technology. The new AS840 sprayer increases capacity and productivity in the field by adding an 800-gallon tank, Raven AutoBoom XRT automatic boom control system. The system uses radar sensors to maintain optimal spray heights, thereby maximizing application efficiency. Pressure-based controls enable smoother movement across the field, quicker reaction times and complete operator control, adding up to better application coverage in the field.
Available on any Apache with AutoBoom XRT, the new automatic boom-folding system allows the operator to unfold booms all at once instead of one section at a time. And, it’s automatic with the push of a single button.
MagGrow – MagGrow Boom kit 7000
Tech Specs: MagGrow is a patented proprietary technology for droplet formation that delivers superior drift control and crop coverage on pesticide spray applications. The Boom Kit 7000 product is made up of a two main component system comprising manifold and rods. It’s a plug-and-play system is designed in a modular format to fit all sprayer types and sizes. The patented technology allows farmers to overcome the challenges with conventional technology by using a wider range of nozzles without the associated drift problems and also delivering superior crop coverage and efficacy. This results in better protection against pests and disease.
Farmers are using up to 50% less water and chemicals with a typical ROI of less than a year just on chemicals alone. This is done by dramatically reducing the 70% waste associated with conventional spraying techniques. The kit is retrofit to existing tractor booms so operators don’t need an expensive new sprayer and there are no cables, wires, power supplies or moving parts meaning little or
no maintenance.
Case IH – AFS Soil Command with Mapping Technology
Tech Specs: Available on any machine equipped with AFS Soil Command, Case IH’s mapping technology adds to a suite of tillage tools that give producers enhanced insights to improve operational efficiency and increase yield potential. When planting, producers consider every seed in the ground down to the inch — similarly, AFS Soil Command helps producers monitor and optimize soil conditions down to the square inch for tillage. Presets allow each area of a field to be treated differently. The technology then records all key tillage tool adjustments and provides producers with real-time field mapping data.
AFS Soil Command mapping technology notifies operators of problem areas and changing field conditions using seamless two-way data transfer. This allows producers to compare recorded data with yield maps using AFS software and other data analysis systems, helping them understand the effects tillage had on those areas, so they can make the most of every inch of every field.
