Solving Customers’ Trust Issues with Big Data
According to a 2020 study, 70% of farmers said they didn’t have the necessary training to use more data in their operations, and 75% said they didn’t have time to deal with data. In this editorial for Entrepreneur, Semios CEO Michael Gilbert explains 4 key factors precision ag providers need to consider when working with customers and their data.
Horsch Teases Autonomous Seed Drill
In March, CEO Phillipp Horsch posted a video to Twitter of an autonomous 24-meter Horsch seed drill, called RO24G, doing its first run in the field. He says it’s heading to Brazil for intensive testing. It’s unclear if the seed drill is related to a Horsch-Trimble partnership announced last April, but we’re refreshing our Twitter feed and looking forward to seeing more!

As the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Assn. explains, the standard is meant to highlight the importance of accurately preserved data, not prescribe how field equipment records data.
