Bushel Launches Digital Payment Platform in ‘Major Step’ toward Digitizing Ag
Grain trading platform Bushel launched a new software platform that facilitates digital payments between farmers and agribusiness partners. Bushel CEO Jake Joraanstad calls “the last frontier for digitizing the industry,” according to this article from AFN. He says the new platform will enable a faster, more reliable payment system and predicts Bushel will “easily have the largest payment network in agriculture” by next year.
FBN Fulfillment Centers Look Like Amazon of Agriculture
Farmers Business Network (FBN) operates 5 fulfillment centers across the U.S., which serve as hubs for storing inputs and products. Jack Cox, vice president of global fulfillment and logistics for FBN, says the fulfillment centers model Amazon and Walmart, giving FBN “the ability to get you anything you want quickly and reliably.” Farm Journal talked with Cox at the Brighton, Colo., FBN fulfillment center for this article.
