Easy Observations: Ag Tech Investors Getting “Squeamish”
There could be a bloodbath coming for AgTech soon, according to Nathan Faleide in his weekly newsletter Easy Observations. With some epic memes sprinkled throughout, Faleide writes, “The old days of coming up with an idea, raising a bunch of money, and selling a few years later is in drastic decline.”
1-on-1 with Sabanto VP of Product Cory Spaetti
Cory Spaetti shares his vision for the future of autonomy while taking us for an autonomous ride in a Fendt tractor. “I envision a world where you might have multiple systems in one field but with just one operator,” Spaetti says. Be on the lookout for an in-depth feature on Spaetti and Sabanto next month on PrecisionFarmingDealer.com!
Stock Cropper Creates Autonomous Grazing System
On this episode of the Precision Points podcast, Stock Cropper CEO (and fifth-generation Iowa farmer) Zack Smith explains how his product allows farmers to autonomously graze pasture strips in between corn and soybeans. “By using the power of this arrangement, and with the edge effect and that of nutrients from the animals, we grew 303-bushel corn this year where our static average was 230-240 in our area,” Smith says.
VitiBot’s Autonomous Tractor in Action
And your robot of the week is...Bakus! The Farm Innovations crew takes a look at the electric autonomous tractor developed by France-based robotics company VitiBot.
Discussing the Future of Farm Machinery
Damian Mason recently worked with John Deere dealerships PrairieLand Partners and Agrivision Equipment, getting an up-close look at the future of spraying with Deere’s new “see and spray” technology demonstration. He sat down for a panel discussion with representatives for the dealership and Deere for a forward-looking conversation about the future of farm machinery.
