Verdant Makes Immediate Impact Through Farming-as-a-Service (FaaS)
Verdant Robotics is selling its precision spraying solutions to growers through the Farming-as-a-Service (FaaS) model. CEO and co-founder Gabe Sibley shares why FaaS is the best option for Verdant in this Successful Farming feature. “I think people delivering hardware today for sale are knowingly delivering an early version that’s going to be a paperweight in a year,” Sibley says. “We don’t want to do that. We want to make sure we’re there with skin in the game, so we are obligated to hit a guarantee for the growers.” Verdant’s autonomous system attaches to the back of a tractor and can cover up to 4.2 acres per hour while applying herbicide and fertilizer on individual crops.
March Madness Versatile Style

New Holland & Raven Donate Precision Ag Technology to FFA Students
New Holland and Raven Industries teamed up to donate precision ag simulators to 11 different FFA chapters throughout the country. Indiana news station WLFI features one of those chapters during the nightly newscast. “Technology is growing and the precision industry has taken off in the last 10 years, so we realize the need to expand opportunities for kids and help them realize there’s more in agriculture than just working on a farm,” says New Holland Rochester service director Nicole Ranstead.
Case IH Shares Vision for Autonomy at Commodity Classic
In this article, RealAgriculture’s Kara Oosterhuis catches up with Case IH precision technology marketing manager Kendal Quandahl at the Commodity Classic for a conversation about the company’s vision for the path to autonomy.
