Ag equipment manufacturer GBGI, Chardon, Ohio, announced the building of a new facility focused exclusively on precision agriculture. Located adjacent to the company’s 28,000 sq. ft. headquarters building, President Pete Casamento said the new facility is a result of growth due to the GBGI’s work in precision planting.
“Five years ago, we came up with a new idea to service precision planting dealers direct,” he says. “And we really owe a lot to Precision Planting, because without them, this would not be possible.”
Casamento says that the new facility will be used for inventory storage, production and assembly of items including parallel arms and gauge wheel arms as well as the pressing of bearings into disc openers.
The facility will open at the end of June or early July, GBGI says.
