Illustrating the Complex Process of Data Analytics
Self-proclaimed “cynical agtech mentalist” and founder of Boundri Nathan Faleide checks in with his ag meme of the week. The 2024 Precision Farming Dealer Summit speaker uses this one to illustrate the complex process of creating the analytical insights that many are shooting for in ag tech. “Many times, it’s attempted to add too many layers together from too many years and what ends up happening is a gargled mess of an answer that might not reflect anything of substance,” Faleide says.
Deere Launches Solutions-as-a-Service Approach to Precision Tech
During an earnings call last week, John Deere executives announced a Solutions-as-a-Service approach for some of its precision technology offerings. “Our initial experiences have been extremely favorable, as we engage a broader range of customers with our technology,” said Aaron Wetzel, vice president of production systems for production and precision ag. Sarah Zimmerman has more in this Agriculture Dive article.
