Are Drones “Nothing but Toys?”
Bryan Vincent posted this video on X of a drone applying herbicide on his farm. Fellow farmer, Tyrel Owens, replied (somewhat jokingly judging from the laughing emojis), “I was informed these are nothing but toys. Real farmers use airplanes. Not my opinion though, I’m excited to see where this technology goes.” Bryan followed up by explaining why he’s all in on drones, “I’ve lost three aerial applicator friends in the last 5 years in crashes. No more! Drones only for me.”

A Simple, But Impactful Way to Improve Your Precision Business
In sports, we often hear the cliché from athletes and coaches, “We’re just taking it one day at a time and trying to get better every day.” The same can be said about your precision business, as Priyanka Rathee of the Brain Expansion Group reminds us on LinkedIn. Bookmark this post for the next time you start feeling overwhelmed. Keep chopping wood and focus on getting 1% better every day. It will pay off in the end!
Danville Dairy Daddies College Summer Team Pays Homage to Farmers
The latest team to join the Old North State league is announced in this news story that has no shortage of cow puns.
Geomagnetic Storm Scrambles Tractor Navigation Systems
AgricultureDive has more details on the massive solar storm that splashed northern lights across the sky and disrupted farming operations at the peak of planting season. “I saw stuff on Friday I’ve never seen before,” one farmer wrote on Reddit. “We’re strip-tillers so in order for the planter to follow the strip-till machine we need 1-inch accuracy. Wasn’t happening.”

Deere Precision Specialists Discuss Experience with New Technology
The FarmCast presented by 21st Century Equipment pays a visit to a training farm in Severance, Colo., where all the technology we hear and read about is being put to use this planting season. The crew discusses its experience using various new technologies including ExactShot, See & Spray, AutoTrac and more!
