The Next Big “Thing” According to Precision Ag Retailer Survey

Ag Funder News breaks down a couple key takeaways from the 2025 CropLife/Purdue Precision Survey, which polled 108 ag retailer input suppliers in the U.S. Just 11% of dealers said they offer AI that identifies weeds for spraying, but a quarter plan to offer such a service 3 years from now. However, most dealers surveyed don’t think AI will replace the need for agronomic expertise, nor reduce operational costs such as labor.

A Dealer’s Perspective on Selling Retrofit Spraying Technology

AI precision spraying company Greeneye Technology announced the opening of its first dealership, Boeck Seed Services, back in late May. The Nebraska-based dealership has already begun to sell Greeneye systems for the 2025 season. In September, it will open a dedicated facility at its existing site where it will retrofit customers’ existing sprayers. Job Opening for New Generation of Tractor Operators

There’s a job opening for an Autonomy System Operator in Ames, Iowa. Autonomous farming technology company Sabanto is looking to fill the entry-level position that involves remotely operating, monitoring and providing light technical support for the company’s fleet of autonomous tractors.
