Kim Rominger, CEO of the North American Equipment Dealers Assn., has announced his plans to retire after many great years of service to equipment dealers at regional associations and most recently at NAEDA. NAEDA has engaged Robert Half Executive Search to conduct the search for the organization’s next CEO.

The CEO of NAEDA will assume responsibility for the overall strategic direction, management, and performance of the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will ensure that all directives and resolutions adopted by the Board are effectively implemented. With broad executive authority, the CEO will oversee the organization’s operations, advocacy efforts, and member engagement strategies, reinforcing NAEDA’s commitment to Advocate, Elevate, and Educate.
This leader will drive the vision and strategic goals of NAEDA, ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of its membership base. They will build relationships with government officials and stakeholders at federal, state, and provincial levels to advance the interests of equipment dealers, even in the absence of deep government affairs knowledge. A key aspect of the role 1 will involve strengthening partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and other industry stakeholders to enhance collaboration and resolve member issues effectively.
The CEO will develop and execute strategies to engage and support members, ensuring they have access to value-added services and resources. They will oversee all aspects of the organization’s operations, including budgeting, financial oversight, and P&L management, to secure NAEDA’s fiscal sustainability and growth. Leading, mentoring, and developing a highperforming team will be central to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
A critical responsibility of the CEO will be fostering strong connections with other equipment dealer associations that share NAEDA’s common goals. By promoting collaboration and mutual support within the industry, the CEO will reinforce NAEDA’s influence and effectiveness.
Additionally, the CEO will serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for NAEDA, representing the organization with clarity and authority across various platforms. This includes articulating its vision and advocating effectively to inspire confidence among members and stakeholders while driving the organization forward.
