Organizers of the InfoAg Conference recently announced that Christophe Pelletier will be the featured speaker at the PrecisionAg Luncheon.
The luncheon, co-sponsored by SST Software and Raven Industries, will be held during InfoAg on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 beginning at 11:30 am. The InfoAg Conference is being held July 29-31 in St. Louis.
Pelletier, known as “The Food Futurist,” is one of the world’s top experts on the future of food and agriculture. During his studies and his career, he has been active in beef, dairy, animal feed, nutrition, pork, poultry and seafood.
Pelletier combines extensive knowledge with practical hands-on business experience. He is a versatile individual who is just as comfortable wearing a suit in a boardroom as he is wearing overalls and wooden shoes in a livestock pen or a hard hat and a white coat in a food plant.
His InfoAg presentation will share his views on how agriculture will need to change and evolve to meet the food demands of a growing world population. “We will take a look at the farm of the future and discuss how the profession of farmer will change, in particular their daily activities,” Pelletier says. “What are the advantages of new technologies for the farmers of the future? Then, we will go beyond the farm, and look at how the interconnection of all stakeholders calls for new solution, and how technology will bring these solutions.
He promises a meaty but palatable presentation that will provide key takeaways for luncheon attendees.
