Javier Hernandez has been promoted to Western Region sales manager for Topcon Precision Agriculture (TPA). The announcement was made by Marty Cook, TPA national sales manager.
For the past five years, Hernandez has been a product specialist and regional technical manager for TPA, supporting precision agriculture products including Topcon’s ProSteer, variable rate and seeder control technologies.
Cook said the promotion to regional sales manager “puts Javier’s technical expertise and extensive background in validating and promoting Topcon products — including the Systems 150, 250 and 350 — to valuable use for the company and its dealers, customers and potential customers.”
In his previous position, Cook said, Hernandez “trained dealers on new products and assisted on field tests and data logging for TPA engineers to make sure the most advanced precision agriculture products are available.”
Additionally, Hernandez spent 15 years with one of the country’s largest farm operators, J.G. Boswell Company, as GPS equipment manager, technician and coordinator.
About his promotion, Hernandez said, “With my experience in all types of GPS farm equipment as well as self-propelled equipment, plus working with Topcon for the past five years, I know I can put that experience to use to show farm operators how to improve production and increase profitability in any agriculture situation.
“I especially look forward to working directly with dealers and customers to promote the newest technologies available from Topcon.”
TPA’s Western Region includes California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah and Arizona.
