Matt Strine from Aerovironment was demonstrating their new Quantix at the 2018 Farm Progress show. This purpose build aerial vehicle is capable of raising vertically 150ft. and transition to horizontal where it can climb to heights of 360ft. allowing it to capture approximately 10 acres per minute.

Trimble expanded their lineup of ag software solutions with the unveiling of the Farmer Fit option at Farm Progress, designed to give farmers many of the same features as the higher tier Farmer Pro package at a cheaper price point ($83 per month compared to $149 per month).

Germany-based xarvio Digital Farming Solutions introduced its new scouting app, with image recognition technology to identify — with near 90% certainty — 11 known diseases and 11 weed species in the U.S. Farmers have the ability to take an early-stage, in-field photo and cross-reference the image in the scouting apps database to identify the disease or weed.
Reichhardt Electronic Innovations attended the 2018 Farm Progress Show to introduce its newest product, GREEN FIT, which acts as a gateway between machine language and technology language. The interface provides growers the ability to use an AutoTrac guidance system with a variety of equipment brands, and eliminates the burden of learning and converting to a new steering system when buying another equipment brand.
Verdant Robotics showed off its new Sharpshooter at the FIRA Conference a few weeks ago. Dubbed the only robotic precision application system that aims before it shoots, Sharpshooter uses Bullseye Aim & Apply Technology.
