The One Smart Spray system, a collaborative project between AGCO’s Fendt brand and Bosch BASF, detects weeds in real time and sprays herbicide only where needed.
Created through a joint venture between Bosch and BASF, the One Smart Spray is a unique sprayer system using infra-red lights and cameras to locate a spray specific targets. Designed to improve efficiency and profitability of growers; the system can run continuously without calibration and sets the stage for future advancements in sprayer technology.
The Smart Spraying Solution offers real-time, automated weed detection and precision spraying both on pre-emergence (“green-on-brown”) and post-emergence (“green-on-green”).
AGCO announced it has entered into a proof of concept (PoC) collaboration agreement with Robert Bosch GmbH, BASF Digital Farming and Raven Industries Inc., with the objective of evaluating targeted spraying technology to make the application of crop protection products more effective and efficient by reducing crop input costs while driving farm and environmental sustainability.
Verdant Robotics showed off its new Sharpshooter at the FIRA Conference a few weeks ago. Dubbed the only robotic precision application system that aims before it shoots, Sharpshooter uses Bullseye Aim & Apply Technology.
