Breaking Down the Latest Big News in Precision Agriculture
Rhishi Pethe is tackling several hot topics in the latest edition of his blog, Software is Feeding the World. He kicks things off with a comprehensive breakdown of the recently announced collaboration between FBN and Greeneye Technology. “Whichever way you look at it, these (see and spray) systems look expensive, and my guess is companies will have to look at different pricing options, instead of a straight buy from the customers,” Pethe says. “The FBN partnership is interesting compared to a traditional input company, as FBN is practically a co-operative/ag retailer with some sophisticated digital capabilities."
Survey: AgTech Adoption on the Rise Despite Economic Uncertainty
A new survey from global consulting firm McKinsey found that AgTech adoption is up for farmers around the world, according to this article from Ag Funder News. The survey of 5,500 farmers across 9 different countries revealed the demand for biologicals for pest control and fertilizers is also growing.
