Verdant Robotics showed off its new Sharpshooter at the FIRA Conference a few weeks ago. Dubbed the only robotic precision application system that aims before it shoots, Sharpshooter uses Bullseye Aim & Apply Technology.

Labor — or more often a lack of it — is still the number one factor driving farmers’ adoption of automation and robotics solutions, according to panelists, demonstrators and casual attendees at last week’s FIRA USA show in California.

Over the last 5-7 years, Tony Brannon has tried an autonomous cover crop machine called the Earth Sense Robot, drone technology at Murray State University and various autonomous units from Salin 247.

The agtech company first got its start in 2017, founded by Israeli Air Force veterans and autonomous vehicle experts. Initially, the goal was simply to find the best way to leverage Bluewhite’s technology in different markets, including mining, homeland security, urban mobility and, of course, agriculture.
